Corinth, Texas – New Image Software announced today it partnership with OpenEdge, a division of Global Payment to allow PCI Compliant credit card processing from within SmartPest Paperless Office. “Our partnership with OpenEdge will allow our customers to process a debit or credit card in seconds” announced New Image President, Richard Jordan. “We have been evaluation payment processing vendors for the past two years and OpenEdge is the only vendor who understood our needs from a software developers viewpoint”. With OpenEdge’s assistance we have been able to integrate  payment processing right from the customer’s invoice. Field technicians can even scan a client’s card using a wireless card reader that fits in a pocket”, he added.

The eInvoice feature is particularly helpful in eliminating administrative costs for pest control operators. It is well know in the pest control business that the client is often not present which means the company will have to send an invoice to the client and wait for them to write a check. With eInvoice the technician simply clicks a button and a PDF is generated then attached to an email message along with a link, that when clicked, allows the customer to pay online. This eliminates all the follow up required by office personnel as the payment is automatically transferred to the company’s bank account and the payment details are updated in SmartPest with the click of a button.

SmartPest iOS Mobile Options.

While many field users still use a laptop or Tablet PC, most SmartPest subscribers opt for the popular iPhone, iPad or iPad Mini. With these easy-to-use devices, administrators have the option of restricting technicians and sales staff to seeing only those calls assigned to them on a particular day. If a worker calls in sick, the office can instantly reassign the day’s route to another technician without affecting future schedules.

The way everything works is this. Office workers create orders in the normal manner and assign appointments to their field technicians. Techs then view their appointments. When they click on an appointment, the associated service ticket opens, ready to fill out on their hand held device. Since the client’s information is already entered, all they have to do is enter chemicals used, services performed, target pests, locations treated and tools involved. Technicians can report on up to 120 bait stations on each service ticket so it works great for IPM. They can even clock in and out letting office workers observed their progress. As the client signs the acknowledgement, staff can see the signature automatically appear on their desktop screens.

Mobile owners and managers can use an iOS device to manage their entire team, INCLUDING the ability to edit schedules, reassign calls, create new customers or search a client’s history. SmartPest Annual Maintenance and Support Policy

SmartPest and SmartPest Server products come with one year of Annual Maintenance. Annual Maintenance includes upgrades, support (Email and Live Help) and FX Connect. Annual Maintenance customers receive 4 hours of Live Help support the first year and 2 hours per year for each subsequent year. If the allotted hours are used in a calendar year Live Help is available at the rate of $39 for each quarter hour. Unlimited online Video Training and Email support is included.

Annual Maintenance Renewal fees are calculated at 25% of the current selling price of the SmartPest products installed and includes 2 cumulative hours of Live Help. Annual Maintenance does not include license transfers due to the re installation of Windows or other operating system issues or the transfer of SmartPest to another computer. Setup and Technical Support

SmartPest subscribers receive free support via email or Live Help. All support requests must be submitted via the SmartPest Technical Support Request Form found under the SmartPest Help Menu or the icon seen above found on the Dashboard control panel. iOS users can also access the Support Request form by clicking on the icon shown located on each SmartPest Mobile Service Ticket.

We attempt to follow up all support requests within 4 hours during normal business hours. Support will be provided via email or Live Help based on the request submitted. Free Live Help support is for SmartPest functionality only. It does not include data migration, customization, client hardware nor printer support. If requested, New Image Support personnel can provided such support at the rate of $50 for each 15 minutes of Live Help.
